Frequently Asked Questions: Q: My party is a few months away. When should I order? A: We recommend you order two (2) but no more than four (4) weeks in advance. This will ensure that your image is fresh. If you order too far in advance, your image could dry out and crack. Q: There is extra "white" icing around my image that I do not want on my cake. What can I do? A: It is common during the production process of the icing sheet to have an "overage" of icing. The images are set to fit within a certain dimension of the icing, therefore any "overage" would not be printed on. To fix this, use a smooth, sharp knife or scissors to trim off any unwanted icing. Q: My image will not come off the paper backing. A: With your image still in the zip lock bag, place it flat in your freezer for 15-30 seconds. Once you take it out of the freezer, be prepared to place it on your cake. Q: My image is larger than my cake. What can I do? A: Using a smooth, sharp knife or scissors you can trim any unwanted icing from your image. Q: I do not plan to use my image for a few weeks, should I store it in the refrigerator or freezer to make it last longer? A: NO! This will ruin your image. You can place it in the freezer for a few seconds to help remove it from the backing. However, leaving it in the freezer will cause it to become brittle and crack. If you put it in the refrigerator it can cause the colors to fade and run. Once it is on your cake you can then put it in the refrigerator or freezer with no problems. (See "Application Instructions & Tips" for details on individual product application). Q: My image seems really dry. Will it stick to the frosting? A: If your image comes right off of the paper backing or doesn't seem to bend easily, it may be too dry to place on your cake. To put moisture back into the frosting sheet, place it back into the zip lock bag making sure it is still on top of the paper backing. Wet and completely wring out a paper towel. Place it in the bag with your image. MAKE SURE IT IS ONLY TOUCHING THE BACK OR UNDERNEATH SIDE OF THE PAPER BACKING. DO NOT LET IT TOUCH THE FROSTING SHEET. Seal the bag and let it set for an hour or overnight. This should add enough moisture back into the sheet for it to adhere to your cake. You can also spray a light mist of water onto your cake before adding the image. Be careful that there are not any large drops of water or they may show through the image.
